Demi Lovato popped out at one of the Jonas Brothers‘ tour stops to surprise fans with a Camp Rock singalong, and on Monday (April 13), Joe Jonas showed up at his former costar’s show to return the favor.
To the delight of thousands of screaming fans at the Kia Center in Orlando — where Lovato kicked off the It’s Not That Deep Tour supporting 2025’s album of the same name — the pop star launched into her signature song from the Camp Rock soundtrack, “This Is Me.” But the crowd absolutely lost it when Lovato paused after the first chorus to introduce a special guest, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Joe Jonas!”
Jonas then walked out on stage beneath a spotlight and started singing his part of the duet, which the pair first performed together as Shane Gray and Mitchie Torres in the 2008 Disney Channel film that launched them to superstar status as teenagers. “You’re the missing piece of me, the song inside of me,” he sings before joining voices with Lovato. “I gotta find you.”
The pair also did a duet of “On the Line” from her 2008 album, Don’t Forget. The track was written by Lovato and the JoBros, and features all three brothers.
To celebrate their reunion, the duo posted TikToks featuring one another. The cookbook author shared a clip of them lip-synching to an audio snippet of Kim Kardashian saying, “We’re back! Did you miss us? ‘Cause we missed you.”
In Jonas’ video, he and Lovato — who briefly dated around 2010 — hang out on couches backstage. “Your friend is so talented and smart and kind and snatched,” the DNCE frontman says, to which his fellow Disney alum compliments, “Wait, but that’s you.”
It’s Not That Deep dropped in October, debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 — the star’s ninth top 10 hit on the chart to date. Lovato’s setlist on Monday included songs from the album as well as past Billboard Hot 100 hits such as “Heart Attack,” “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Cool for the Summer.”
The kickoff show of Lovato’s tour comes ahead of the long-awaited Camp Rock 3, which she is coproducing with the JoBros, who will reprise their roles as the Gray brothers. About a month prior to the announcement that the movie was in the works, Lovato joined Joe on stage at MetLife Stadium, where they performed “This Is Me” as well as Camp Rock 2 classic “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” together.
