As the countdown to America’s 250th anniversary begins, the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) is turning up the volume on the future. Enter BMAC x America250 Voices of Tomorrow—a nationwide call for emerging artists ready to tell the truth, challenge the moment, and soundtrack what comes next. More than a talent search, the initiative is a bold invitation for creators across genres—Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, Pop, Gospel, and beyond—to step into purpose and push culture forward through music.
“As America approaches its 250th anniversary, this moment calls on us to face our past head on with truth and clarity, not comfort and convenience,” says Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of the Black Music Action Coalition. “This milestone demands that every voice is included and that we confront the full truth of where we have been, not to stay stuck in it, but to learn from it, rise beyond it, and decide who we are going to be next. Music has always been one of the most powerful forces in this country. It has shaped consciousness, challenged injustice, inspired movements, and given people the courage to believe in something greater. Artists have always helped push this nation forward. They do not just give us the soundtrack for change, they spark it. Voices of Tomorrow is about empowering the next generation of Artists to use their gifts, their influence, and their truth to move the culture, challenge the system, and help write the next chapter of America. The future will belong to those bold enough to use their voice with purpose.”
Applications are officially open now through April 30, 2026, inviting U.S.-based artists ages 18 and up to submit one original song and a short video sharing their story and inspiration. Selected voices won’t just be heard—they’ll be amplified, receiving a $10,000 BMAC Music Maker Grant, yearlong mentorship, and access to top-tier collaborators, with the potential for a major distribution deal.
