“It’s a glorious honor to be a part of my new family at BMG,” Yung Gravy said in a statement. “The next arc in the Gravy universe is on the way and I couldn’t ask for a better home. BMGravy baby, let’s make history.”

The deal marks Gravy’s first new label in nearly a decade after first signing with Republic in 2017.

Dan Gill, BMG’s executive vp of recorded music, said in a statement: “Yung Gravy has carved out a lane entirely his own, combining infectious records with a highly original artistic voice to create something that truly connects with fans. What makes him so exciting is not just the music itself, but the clarity of his vision and the world he has built around it. We’re excited to welcome him to BMG and support what comes next!”

Beginning his career on SoundCloud, Gravy started gaining traction in 2017 with his songs “Mr. Clean” and “1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot” (both RIAA platinum-certified). In 2022, he achieved his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Betty (Get Money), which debuted at No. 68 and climbed into the top 40. The track sampled Rick Astley’s 1987 single, “Never Gonna Give You Up,” which sat atop the ot 100 in 1988.
