Travis Kelce isn’t just a man, he’s the man when he’s around Taylor Swift — where food is concerned, at least.
On the latest episode of New Heights posted Wednesday (May 6), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed how he feels manlier thanks to the influence of his famous fiancée. The topic first came up when his brother and cohost, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, said, “We won’t use this in the episode, but I feel like Taylor’s definitely expanded …”
Travis then interjected with, “We can f–king use it, there’s nothing wrong with that,” after which the siblings’ guest for the episode, Kylie Kelce, said of her brother-in-law, “He’s more adventurous with food.”
“Yeah, I’m more of a man when I’m around her,” the Grotesquerie star agreed, laughing. “[I] eat foods I haven’t tried before!”
Later on in the episode, Jason and Travis reflected on how they’ve been self-proclaimed picky eaters since childhood. Beyond introducing her fiancé to new foods, Swift has also baked all sorts of recipes for him and the Kelce family, including sourdough bread and homemade Pop Tarts, which Travis has praised.
The pop star and athlete got engaged in August after about two years of dating. Fans are now excitedly waiting to see when the pair will get married, although they’ve both kept their wedding date and details under wraps.
On New Heights, however, Travis revealed that he’s especially pumped for one aspect of his upcoming nuptials after the episode’s other guest, golf champion Rory McIlroy, compared hosting the Masters Champions Dinner to a wedding.
“Travis, you’ll feel this this year, whenever you’re sitting at your wedding, and you have all the people in a room from like — it’s so it’s amazing to have all these people in the same room from your childhood,” McIlroy told him. “It’s unbelievable. The the only thing that I can compare it to is is your wedding day because it’s like all this collection of people in the same room.”
“I can’t wait,” a grinning Travis replied.
