Five months after its world premiere at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, “Somos Más,” Telemundo’s anthem for its coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup performed by Carlos Vives, Emilia, Wisin and Xavi, was officially released on Tuesday (March 3).
The song, which expresses the passion, diversity, and excitement that soccer ignites in communities worldwide, is now available on all major streaming platforms. It also arrives with a colorful music video featuring its famous performers celebrating the frenzy of the sport.
“Every time we are more/ A World Cup of flags playing a match/ Every time more and more/ It’s the world embracing freedom,” they sing together in Spanish in the chorus.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer, from June 11 to July 19.
“We set out to create a song that truly represents us all — the three host countries and the generations united by fútbol,” Vives said in a statement, using the Spanish word for soccer. “Blending Wisin’s energy, Emilia’s style, and Xavi’s fresh sound, ‘Somos Más’ is a celebration of our shared roots, our languages, and music’s unique ability to bring people together,” continued the Colombian icon.
Argentine star Emilia added: “This project represents a dream fulfilled. It’s an honor to stand for our Latin community and collaborate with such inspiring artists on a song that celebrates our passion, our culture, and unifies us as one.”
For Wisin, the song is more than just music: “It’s a message that crosses borders. We each represent our own background, but unity and respect are what truly bring us together,” the Puerto Rican legend said.
Meanwhile, Xavi, the young Mexican-American star, shared his “excitement” about bringing this special project to fans “because it brings together music and sport, two universal languages that unite us.”
As the exclusive Spanish-language broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, Telemundo will broadcast all 104 matches live — 92 on Telemundo and 12 on Universo. Every match will also stream live on Peacock (Premium and Premium Plus subscribers) and the Telemundo App.
